Each of our 50+ schemes of work have been developed, delivered and refined in primary schools across the country since 2012.
Developed by experts, our EYFS, KS1 & KS2 schemes of work focus on ensuring children are kept super active, through the use of small sided games, and fast paced activities. Each of our 50+ topics comes fully loaded with 6 weeks' worth of exciting content... meaning you will never be left without a new and engaging lesson, at the touch of a button.
Keep an eye out for our little cogs icon, as this means we are getting technical! Our technical ‘I Cans’ focus on the development of technique within a given skill. For example, ‘I can point at my target when throwing overarm’. Expect to see our little cogs hundreds of times as you deliver our schemes of work.
When you see the jigsaw, the ‘I Can’ statements will focus on developing your class tactically. Our small-sided games - through EYFS, KS1 and KS2 - place a huge emphasis on independent and team-led enquiry when developing tactics to outwit opponents.
PE Pal aims to get children active for at least 80% of their physical education lessons. Our schemes of work all place a huge focus on the physical POP, as this is the fundamental underpinning of any successful PE lesson. When assessing, you can expect see objectives such as ‘I Can keep going when I get tired’.
In the creation of a well-rounded sports performer, we would expect to see empathy, the ability to work well as part of a team, and oodles of etiquette. Our personal and social POP category focuses on assessing children in these areas.
We are super proud to be able to say that PE Pal has been, and continues to be, developed by a wonderful team of: Primary school teachers, professional sports coaches from a range of sports, school senior leaders and elite sports performers. We assembled this team to ensure no stone was left unturned in creating schemes that cater for children of all abilities, whilst ensuring our content was educationally sound.
